Ground Transfer Services

The most overlooked piece of a complete bed-to-bed air transport

Ground transfers are a vital link in the medical transport chain. The flights we coordinate include ground ambulance transportation between the airport and departing and receiving facilities.

Basic Life Support (BLS)

BLS ambulance service includes two emergency medical technicians (EMTs) who are trained in:

  • Basic airway management
  • Oxygen delivery
  • Dressing and bandage application
  • Spine stabilization
  • Splinting of extremities
  • Monitoring vital signs
  • CPR

Advanced Life Support (ALS)

ALS ambulance service includes either two paramedics or a paramedic/EMT team who are trained to handle severe, life-threatening traumatic and medical emergencies. Their capabilities include:

  • Advanced airway management
  • Cardiac monitoring
  • Interpretation and rapid intervention
  • Defibrillation
  • IV administration
  • Administer life saving drugs

Critical Care Transport (CCT)

CCT ambulance services are for those patients who have an actual or potential life-threatening illness/injury that requires continuous monitoring and care by specially trained medical personnel. This ambulance includes a registered nurse, paramedic and EMT, and the following equipment:

  • Transport ventilator
  • End tidal CO2 monitoring
  • Two-channel invasive line monitoring
  • Transcutaneous pacing
  • 12-lead EKG
  • Multi-channel intravenous infusion pump
  • Medications including thrombolytics, blood products, vasoactive medications, anti-arrhythmics, pain control and sedation
